Rams hire new soccer coach
Virginia Commonwealth has named Akron assistant Dave Giffard as its men’s soccer coach. Giffard has been an assistant at Akron the past four years. The Zips went 23-1-1 last year, losing only to Virginia in the national championship game. He also served as a volunteer assistant at Indiana and as an assistant at Alabama-Birmingham.
