Challenge yourself by playing with experienced players when you can. It will speed up your play, make you play stronger, and you will learn from their experience – where to play the ball, when, and where to make runs.

My suggestion is to just play as much as possible. Also, play with all different people, whether they’re at the same skill level or higher, just keep playing to help you get a feel for the game. Also, be confident in your skills, be willing to experiment and don’t always look at the ball. You have to look up to see where everyone else is. Another little thing, is to play with the rest of your high school squad, whether they’re just playing for fun or at a captain’s practice, get to know them and have them get to know you and they’ll surely help you out.

You’re always losing the ball right? The best way to counter this is when you don’t have the ball, see where your players are and decide where to pass it to before you even get the ball. Awareness is key… Sometimes you just have to play blind passes and if your awareness is good you’ll keep posession!
Also you have to look up, so set up a few markers and dribble the ball in and out of them without looking at the ball. Get comfortable with it at your feet.
Good luck in making the team!

well the best way to improve in my opinion is to play like a mad man or woman (LOL). Go out and find pickup games, if theres no one to play with go out practice shoots, run around dominating the ball with ur feet, and when u are playing u have to be very aware of your surrondings (teamates & oppenents) having that in mind, you will have to decide what do with the ball, if u have an open shot than shoot, if u have an open teamate than pass, if u have space to run in than run, always try to do the simple things never force anything, remember simple soccer is always the best. One other thing i recomend is for you to watch how pros play, watch soccer matches or highlight vids, youll see what they do in certain situations and emulate that, theres a great site where i DL soccer compilations of the best players in the world, its http://www.soccerclips.net.
Hope you make the team, good luck, and always enjoy playing the beautiful game! -
the best way to get over that is to relax and not panic. if you panic your own muscles of the legs will get all twichy so you just have to relax and just let your legs go. once you do that. your mind will stop panicing . and also dont try too hard or you will look like an idiot. try to learn watch some more soccer on tv or videos so you can see all of the formations and options you will have if you find yourself in a position like that.

it happens to me sometime.just calm down and look for a team mates to pass the ball at.play against a more mature opposition might help.just play at your own pace.
