  • How come black people dominated every sport BUT soccer?

    Yes a lot of people that doesn’t like soccer or think soccer is for sissy’s is because they live in the US but if they live anywhere else Soccer is the most popular sport EVERYWHERE so getting that out of the way, you would assumed that since black people dominated mostly every sport but not soccer would there be a reason?
    Most of the best players of the year are not black. There are some good players but mostly are not black. I’m not racist but I’m just wondering. They are good at basketball, football, sprint, mostly all.

    • Pele is black, Ronaldinho is black, Henry is black, Eto’o is black, Drogba is black, Rivaldo is black, Adebayor is black. Some of these were best world players.

    • oh black people they dominate all of the sports.. especially soccer too Like didier drogba, Eto, and Ronaldinho, Pele, kanu, henry, wright phillips, so many is there to name some, its just that their temper tkes the icing of the cake… other wise no one can stop them from being the top

      I don’t think any race or ethnic group dominates soccer—you find great white, black, Asian, Hispanic players. In soccer it really doesn’t matter.

    • As far as the US goes most Black kids grow up playing the “urban sports”. Basketball, Football and Track. Baseball fell off when the mentioned sports got so big.
      I hated Soccer as a kid.
      Btw, the Baseball players from the Dominican Republic are descendants of slaves (primarily Black).

      probably because that is mainly popular in EUROPE, not many blacks in europe are there? And because most blacks dont care about football in america. BUT these are some blacks off the top of my head

    • you obviously don’t know some of the best players in the world! Pele, ronaldinho, eto’o, adu, i could name 20 others but im too lazy haha

      everybody pointed out pele but there are a lot of good african players just because they dont get the chance to shine in europe doesnt mean they wouldnt dominate. plus black players do dominate brazil has mainly all black players and so does france.

    • Because blacks in africa are worried about staying alive and getting food then playing soccer.
      and blacks in america think soccer is a sissy sport. When in reality it’s alot more tiring and physical then basket ball and football.

    • Ronaldinho and Pele maybe considered black but I do know that Ronaldinho is a mulatto.
      He has other ancestry in him, like portuguese for example his last name.

    • u obviously havent been to england or africa, ever heard of pele, okocha, obafemi martins, kanu, drogba, obi-mikel

    • most american african american players would rather play basketball, and football. black people from africa love soccer but they dont have the coaching and facilities necessary to be able to compete with the european players. even though athletically they are more advanced.

    • The only sports blacks really DOMINATE in is basketball and running. Football is 60% black and 40% white, I don’t consider that completely dominating, but they are the majority.

      blacks only make up around 9% of baseball, i’m assuming 3% of hockey, most olympic sports(winter and summer) are dominated by whites, boxing is becoming more white (most champions are becoming white) MMA is white dominated, wrestling is white dominated, swimming is white dominated, rugby and soccer are white dominated.

      I wouldn’t say blacks dominate sports, maybe the popular ones, but definitely not all.
