Lionel Messi vs Diego Maradona Part III
Posted on February 8th, 2010 25 comments
A video comparing the amazing skills, dribbling, and goals of Lionel Messi to Diego Maradona’s renowned style of football. Diego Maradona is distinguished as the greatest player to have ever played football but can Leo Messi reach the same level of legendary greatness Maradona achieved during his time as a professional footballer? we’ll fix an opinion when he i’ll finish his career! -

yes.. I think that the fact he plays together with other great champions can be a limit for messi.. I mean that in this way he doesn’t improve his vision, his free kicks etc.. because there are other players who do these things.. he has to learns those things..

I partlu agree with you but messi is only 22 and he’s beginning to add vision and artistry more and more to his game as he’s beginning to palay more centrally. Will he be as good as Maradona? only time will tell

if you had to pick ANY player from any era at thier peak, maradona was truly the most unplayable, his perfect dribbling matched his perfect shots, freekicks, passes etc.Remember Messi is 21-22 and his dribbling looks just or almost as controlled as Maradona’s, if he develops his kicking to the level of skill in his dribbling, he should be able to smack it in a World Cup, win it 4 the Argies and confirm his Uber Baller status beside Pele, Cryuff, Maradona, Ronaldo, Zidane and Ronaldinho.

and yes messi came back frm injury against united. he has already scored 25 goals this season and three times more assists than ronaldo had during his whole last season

Maradona is the greatest player of all time (player of the century) but i would still give messi the chance to develope as he is just 21. please respect both players

In the game against man ure he had just come back from injury and got rushed into the game. he was hardly as 100% fitness, barring that in mind he was twice the player c.ronaldo was in that game. Anyway I agree u can’t say he’s up there with maradona yet, but hes sure got the potential for the future and he(messi) is the worlds best player at this moment. Hes the closet thing you’ll currently get to maradona anyway!!
